So. What am I going to do? I'm siding with redlid. Steam for Linux, yes. Games for Linux? Not fucking hardly.
I'm kinda pissed off because I don't have the time to spend rebuilding another system right now JUST to get a goddamn Tux plushie in TF2.

TL;DR: Steam has dependencies on 12.04 packages. If you install it on 12.04.2, it causes a bunch of essential packages to be downgraded, and when you reboot, you find yourself in front of a console. YAY!
